Zebra is one of a number of pieces discovered in Mali that have been attributed to Banksy. There has been speculation as to whether these are genuine, but a member of the Banksy Flickr Group stated that  Banksy had been to Africa a few months before the works were discovered and that photos of the trip were shown both on Banksy’s website and at a Banksy exhibition at the Bristol Museum.
